IS MY BODY OUT OF DATE? THE DRAG OF PHYSICALITY IN THE DIGITAL AGE
at the Body of Knowledge conference, Deakin University, 28th June 2019.
Live online/offline performance lecture that took place at the Body of Knowledge: Art and Embodied Cognition conference at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia, with #Sergina (agents) embodied by Elly Clarke, Bon Mott and Sean Miles. Clarke was in Brighton; Mott & Miles in situ at the conference.
The performance was supported by CHASE DTP, who, because for ecological reasons I couldn't stomach flying all that way for a 20 minute performance, agreed to pay money that would have gone on Clarke's flight & accommodation as fees to the collaborating artists instead.
This performance and its video trans-script has since been published in Idea Journal: Clarke, Elly. 2020. “Is My Body Out of Date? The Drag of Physicality in the Digital Age”. Idea Journal 17 (02):289-325. https://doi.org/10.37113/ij.v17i02.360.
