NOVEMBER 2019: HISTORY OF THE FUTURE OF THE PRESENT: LIVE NETCAST FROM FRANKLIN FURNACE HQ

ON SATURDAY 2ND NOVEMBER 2019 AT 3PM EST A LIVE NETCAST TOOK PLACE DIRECT FROM FRANKLIN FURNACE ARCHIVE IN NYC WITH A STAR STUDDED CAST OF FF DIRECTOR MARTHA WILSON, ACADEMIC TONI SANT AND 6 FUTURE OF THE PRESENT GRANT WINNING ARTISTS.

As is part of my PhD research at Goldsmiths I have been rifling through the Franklin Furnace archives over teh past month, looking at a decade of performance works funded under the award title 'The Future of the Present' for works designed for online presentation and broadcast. As part of this, and in homage to the live discussions that took place particularly after the early netcasts in the late '90s, I am hosting a Live Netcast on Saturday 2nd November at 3pm EST, which will be live broadcast via Franklin Furnace Facebook Page, and archived afterwards for general viewing.

The artists are:

Lynn Cazabon (2003) - online
Irina Danilova (1999) - in person
Joshua Fried (1999) - in person
Rae C Wright (1998) - in person
Diane Ludin (2000 and 2007) - in person.
